SKK Mobile's Marian V1 Review

SKK Mobile's Marian V1, named after The Queen of Primetime herself - Marian Rivera. A Quad-Core smartphone priced at P4599.

This looks a bit like Griffin 2 but with better specs though.

Clean Front & Back

The front is plain and simply white occupied by the 5-inch screen and the capacitive keys imprinted on the lower bezel. On the upper part is the VGA front camera and the earpiece.

The Usual Plastic Back

The 8MP main camera is located at the left portion of the back's top, with the led flash beside it.

SKK Mobile Marian V1 - Battery, micro SD and SIM cards compartments

Removing the back cover shows you the 1750mAh Li-Ion battery. You will need to remove the battery first to access the SD or SIM. You can have both a regular sim and a microsim with this smartphone.

Metallic Top & Bottom

The micro USB port  is located at the bottom and the 3.5mm audio jack is located at the top of the phone.

Metallic Sides

The power button and volume buttons are seen on the sides.

Almost similar the SKK Mobile Griffin 2  in design , the position of the buttons, the silver lining, the back cover and the locations of the ports are all the same. Their main difference is that it has better specs.

Overall, the design is still clean, minimal and sleek. Just right for every task at hand.

The Benchmarks!

Marian V1 Got a Score of 17328 from AnTuTu Benchmark. This is a good performing smartphone that can compete with the current leading mobile brands.

Interestingly it scored on NenaMark2's tests well and got a 75.3fps score. Even made it on top of the results on the comparison list.

Vellamo Tests: It scored 1264 for the multicore tests which is better than Samsung's flagship phones. For Metal test it got 703. Browsing is the web is seamless with this one.

The benchmark scores are just fantastic, this means you can pretty do anything with this smartphone especially games and multitasking apps.

For a P4599 priced phone and you get quad-core power plus the fantastic specs for your gaming, social media and multitasking needs. Marian V1 has the right size, weight and thickness too! What more can we ask for?
