Cooking A Special Pinoy Beef Steak with Dole Pineapples

Cooking is more of my thing than eating, trying out new ingredients and having my business partner eat the whole lot is pretty much what I do.

This week we were invited to try a Pizza event by Dole Philippines and of course you'll take home some amazing products to try out.

Pineapples are best with adobo and steaks and this makes my dish come to life! I love steaks and the mixture of sweetness and sour that perfectly bursts in your tongue.

So here is the end product using DOLE pineaple slices and tidbits.

To cook this special steak.. all you need are the following:

1/2 kilo of beef.. pound it like crazy to get the texture
1 can of DOLE pineapple tidbits
1 can of DOLE pineapple slices
1 can of button mushroom
1/2 glove garlic minced
1 white onion sliced to have the round ones.
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup calamansi juice
pepper and salt to taste

Marinate the pounded beef with the soy sauce, calamansi juice, garlic and pineapple juice from the dole products mentioned. Leave it for an hour or so.

Put everything in the pan and boil until tender. Add the button mushroom, salt and pepper to taste.

Once the sauce is almost gone put olive oil or cooking oil to fry the beef a bit. Then add the white onions on top.

Serve it together with the sliced pineapples on top and you're done!

Pair it up with DOLE Pineapple juice too and that makes an awesome dinner!

Took 20-30 minutes to cook and you don't need to be skilled to pull this one off. :D
